evil recreation

  • Fun for the whole family…

…if your family is the Benders, that is. Don’t forget to bring a fiend!

  • I’ll start pouring, you say…

    …Venn.

  • Because no one should go home…

    …empty-handed.

  • Saved by the…

…Smell. Those of a certain age will enjoy this. Others will just have to focus on the hair.

Have a great weekend, whatever your recreational habits. And thanks to all who not only contributed to HorrorCon’s Kickstarter pledge fund this week, but also to those who have bought the book. It appears there are a few more of you than I thought, so I hope you enjoy it. Any questions, comments and criticisms are welcome here or via my email.

  • Nice use of “switch”, but…

…the hyphenation makes me sad. :(

But you know what makes me happy? Kickstarter donations! Thanks to Kara for the latest, and thanks to everyone else who has contributed. We’re over halfway through our pledge window, and about 1/3 of the way there in funds, but each and every penny is 100% appreciated.

  • Bow to the…

    …Masters!

  • If that’s a pyramid in the background…

…this must be the drool of the Nile.

    Awfully sorry, chaps.

  • Babs…

    …was a very bad girl.

Here at the blog de suck, we’re all in favour of a good education and if it’s a bit twisted, even better. If you’d like to make your own Barbie Electric Chair for your next science project, you can find the instructions here. Make sure to check out the comments for lots of ways to make it even creepier! Nice one jessyratfink!

  • The Days before video games: Episode 4

If you have to ask, you never whoahed.

  • Scary Good News!

No, I’ve not been put on the NY Times Bestseller List (yet), or been nominated for an Oscar (or Razzie) (yet), but it appears as if Atlantic City will finally be replacing Brigantine Castle! I remember driving to my grandmother’s shore house as a kid and seeing the ominous monstrosity hovering over all the little families as they frolicked in the surf. It was the ultimate in edge-of-town darkness, and its loss hurt me deeply.

But the new attraction will be called the Hollywood Horror Cafe (artist conception above), and it will be a horror-themed restaurant and wax museum. Even better, the venture is being directed by Sara Karloff (Boris’ daughter) and Bela Lugosi Jr. They’ll be licensing lots of authentic items to decorate the place, and I for one am stoked.
